I have an Epson LQ-2550 that I have hooked up to my FreeBSD box. For
some reason the hardware flow control isn't working to prevent data from
being sent to the printer when internal buffer is full. I would have to
use software flow control which could hopefully work. I enabled the
DC1/DC3 option on the printer itself, but it doesn't seem to work. I'm
not sure if DC1 and DC3 are the same as XON/XOFF.

In the configuration the baud rate is set to 9600. The fs flag is set to
0x82000c1 the xs flag is set to 0x820. I suspect that I might have to set
one of these flags to a different value make FreeBSD use DC1/DC3. Does
anyone know what flag I should set?

In the meantime I can use a baud rate of 1200 but that isn't fast enough
to push the printer to 100% speed.
