That is to say, the port you installed requires the > X11 libraries, and it can't find them. I don't use emacs (vi man), but perhaps > there's a port which doesn't require X11 somewhere? All the emacs ports can be built without X11 - just do the build as "make -DWITHOUT_X11", and it'll build it that way.
