Or you might be > able to build it as a port to get it installed. pkg-add is used when you have downloaded a pkg tarball manually. Virtually always you probably want to use pkg-install -- as this will handle automatically fetching the package and any dependencies from a repository. pkg-install understands '-f' to force installation.
