I did have a woring emacs installation. Last thing I remember installing
was the Firebird port (do have full script logs of all installs). Since
about then I get the following when attemping to run emacs:
nisser:/home/eboa/www/Slak/Flash/2001$ emacs -nw
/usr/libexec/ld-elf.so.1: Shared object "libXaw.so.6" not found
nisser:/home/eboa/www/Slak/Flash/2001$
this looks like X. Yet
-nw Tells Emacs not to use its special interface to X.
If you use this switch when invoking Emacs from an
xterm(1) window, display is done in that window.
This must be the first option specified in the
command line.
Though I once installed KDE2 I only use this box with telnet sessions.
Not even xterms, plain ol' telnet. So what gives? Anyone? Please?
Roelof
