Or you can do this within vi :g/(Ctrl-V)(Ctrl-M)/s/// It will delete all the ^M charachter. Depend on your file size, If it is huge, then it would take a long time to that (I tried with 26M, it takes more than 10 minutes) -WG >From: Caleb Land <bokonon@rochester.rr.com> >To: keith@mail.telestream.com >CC: Adam Hefetz <adam_hefetz@hotmail.com>, freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG >Subject: Re: vi >Date: Tue, 1 Aug 2000 12:49:45 -0400 (EDT) > >Hello, > > I think that dos2unix (found in the ports tree under >/usr/ports/converters/unix2dos) might get rid of those, though I'm not >100% sure. > >Sincerely, >Caleb Land >(bokonon@rochester.rr.com) > > > >To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org >with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
