            Bug ID: 255367
Summary: removal of VERSATILEPB breaks armv6 support for qemu
           Product: Base System
           Version: CURRENT
          Hardware: Any
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Only Me
          Priority: ---
         Component: kern
          Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: d8zNeCFG@aon.at

Commit 3da598388943b428bfd165c4d80d0428a23b61f1 has removed the support for
VERSATILEPB, arguing "It was used for testing armv6 under QEMU, however sin=
ce
then we added support for the QEMU virt platform.".

However, the various virt platforms in qemu do not support armv6 as used in=
 the
Raspberry Pi 1:

[0]% qemu-system-arm -M virt-2.10 -m 512m -cpu arm1176 -nographic ...

...

qemu-system-arm: mach-virt: CPU type arm1176-arm-cpu not supported

Maybe this removal could be reverted?
