            Bug ID: 255367
Summary: removal of VERSATILEPB breaks armv6 support for qemu
           Product: Base System
           Version: CURRENT
          Hardware: Any
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Only Me
          Priority: ---
         Component: kern
          Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: d8zNeCFG@aon.at

Commit 3da598388943b428bfd165c4d80d0428a23b61f1 has removed the support for
VERSATILEPB, arguing "It was used for testing armv6 under QEMU, however since
then we added support for the QEMU virt platform.".

However, the various virt platforms in qemu do not support armv6 as used in the
Raspberry Pi 1:

[0]% qemu-system-arm -M virt-2.10 -m 512m -cpu arm1176 -nographic ...

...

qemu-system-arm: mach-virt: CPU type arm1176-arm-cpu not supported

Maybe this removal could be reverted?
