I think you're blaming the wrong organisation here :) It's an M$ virus
named Badtrans.B (I think, I'm not an expert on the subject).

I agree... is there really nothing we can do without making the list
moderated? The amount of spam/virus messages a day is coming terribly
close to the amount of real messages... I'm sure everybody hates spam
as much as I do... ;)
