I'm getting the following messages several times a day. Jan 27 03:30:37 horst /kernel: ahc_scsi_cmd1: more than 256 DMA segs Jan 27 03:30:37 horst /kernel: sd0: oops not queued Jan 27 03:30:37 horst /kernel: biodone: buffer already done Jan 27 03:30:38 horst /kernel: ahc_scsi_cmd1: more than 256 DMA segs Jan 27 03:30:38 horst /kernel: sd0: oops not queued Jan 27 03:30:38 horst /kernel: biodone: buffer already done always in a pair like that. It usually causes something to core dump (usually, as in I can't always figure out what died). The hardware is a 486DX4/120 w/32 Meg ram AHA2842 SCSI controller set to defaults 2GB SCSI drive id'd as QUANTUM EMPIRE_2100S 100E Any clues? And if a newer kernel is the solution, how do I go about installing it? Minimal downtime is important, otherwise I'd just start over with 2.1-Release. This is a web/mail/ftp server.
