>Description:
The ppp.8 manpage mentions that TAB characters must be used as delimiters
in /etc/syslog.conf. This is no longer the case:
o Create a log file. Ppp uses syslog(3) to log information. A common
log file name is /var/log/ppp.log. To make output go to this file,
put the following lines in the /etc/syslog.conf file:
!ppp
*.*<TAB>/var/log/ppp.log
Make sure you use actual TABs here. If you use spaces, the line will
be silently ignored by syslogd(8).
