Hi all

I have a Seagate atapi tape drive that is recognized by 4 stable as "ast0: TAPE
<Seagate STT8000A> at ata1-slave using PIO4". The problem is that a ./MAKEDEV
ast0 does not produce any files in /dev. I have device atapist configured in my
kernel. Is there something else that must be done to access this device?
