I'm running FreeBSD 4.0-CURRENT #17: Wed Jan 26 14:30:19 CET 2000
and a laptop with a ESS1869. Prior to this kernel, it used to stutter
indefinitely when I stopped the application playing, for example mpg123.
It still stutters when I background it with ctrl-z, but does *not* stutter
when I kill the application anymore.
