I'm trying to monitor SATA drives connected to a HighPoint RocketRAID 2340 card (hptrr driver) using smartmontools, but it doesn't seem to work. Has anyone managed to get this to work? I'm using RELENG_8 / amd64 if that makes any difference. I've tried both the smartmontools port and a direct checkout from their SVN, and I'm getting very similar error messages. From the changelog and the manpage it looks like some work has been done to make this work. /Daniel Eriksson
