this probably doesnt really belong  on a fbsd list at all, but since 
Brian  raised the subject:-

advice  to anyone  making  radical  changes to  a machine  running 
win2k, before you start, take the  5 minutes to make  a ERD 
(emergency repair diskette) so you can at least  recover  
afterwards pretty painlessly if anything  goes wrong

the ERD  is specific to your machine, so their no way  to borrow 
one from another PC if u dont  have one when the time comes that 
u would need it
