Hi, My Toshiba CD-ROM XM-3301BC just died, anyone know how & where I can get it repaired ? all my tel. nos. for Toshiba Germany are wrong. Anyone have an email or tel. # for somewhere like Germany or UK or USA or France (I don't speak japanese) FreeBSD was throwing up weird random seek errs on dev console, then on reboot it just packed up, another external power supply is no use, & the DVM reports volts OK. It just rejects all caddies after a couple of seconds, & a couple of jerky attempts to spin up, (I've tried adding double sided sticky tape to the spindle in case it was slipping, or the magnet was weakened, no use. I also had a deflector shield so I wouldnt fry my eyes ! Of course I have no circuit diagrams .... Julian S jhs@freebsd.org
