I'm used to makefiles etc. First off all, check _what_ kind of file it is. % file <filename> If it's a Bourne shell script, run % sh <filename> If it's a binary that runs on FreeBSD, run % chmod +x <filename> % ./<filename> The .bin seems to indicate that it is a binary file, so the 3rd method mentioned should apply.
