The peak value is considerably below the max one. You may need to monitor it just prior to the reboot. Mine looked fine until about 10 minutes prior to the reboot. Then it went nuts. Another possibility is to setup the machine for serial console and hook it to another machine that captures the console information. There should be an indication there as to the cause.
