Symbios Logic a.k.a LSI Logic 53c8x5 series. The Tekram DC-390U2B or DC-390U2W would work very well, based on the 53C895. I've been using Gerard Roudier's new sym driver for all of my 53C875 based controllers and it works very, very well. The sym driver is available in both STABLE and CURRENT. The ncr driver is older and more well tested, but it won't perform as well as the new sym driver, and may not even handle error recovery as well as the sym driver. -- Chris Dillon - cdillon@wolves.k12.mo.us - cdillon@inter-linc.net FreeBSD: The fastest and most stable server OS on the planet.
