I have a little script for it, if anyone's interested---like my answer, a 
bit lame.

It's a script I wrote for a friend learning Linux, and he told another 
friend, etc, and it wound up in an unofficial faq for a linux newbies list 
which is why it's on the web.

It should be fairly easy to adapt for whatever window managers you're using.
