Another -STABLE problem:
sh and bash choke on this:
: ${TMPDIR:-/tmp}
The variable stays empty.
uname -a
FreeBSD titan.klemm.gtn.com 4.2-STABLE FreeBSD 4.2-STABLE #0: Sun Feb 25 00:50:07 CET 2001 root@titan.klemm.gtn.com:/usr/src/sys/compile/TITAN i386
