hi there, I am trying to get some basic ports tools installed on a new machine. I downloaded the entire ports.tar.gz and then placed all those contents in /usr/ports What are the best next steps to follow to get things up an running? I was hoping to install portsnap but here the error I am receiving. What is wrong? su-3.2# pkg_add -r portsnap Error: FTP Unable to get ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/amd64/packages-6-stable/Latest/portsnap.tbz: File unavailable (e.g., file not found, no access) pkg_add: unable to fetch 'ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/amd64/packages-6-stable/Latest/portsnap.tbz' by URL Cheers, Noah
