I tried with a different order of arguments as it was sugested by Andrew and it worked. Here's my /etc/rc.conf: ifconfig_vr0="up" ifconfig_dc0="up" cloned_interfaces="bridge0" ifconfig_bridge0="inet 10.0.1.10 netmask 255.255.255.0 addm vr0 addm dc0" cheers
