I believe 8.19/9.2/9.3 are indeed separate branches and developed in parallel.
On several occasions, I witnessed numerous fixes being backported to active
branches.

This PR was backported to 8.19, 9.2 and 9.3 (scroll down to see referenced
PRs). Note that 9.1 was omitted. You can also differentiate the branch commits
by the PR subject prefixes: [8.19|9.2|9.3]

7.17.x is EOL as of January 15th, 2026 ("Prior Versions")
