Of those, I would only expect taking the hotspare out of the pool and using the
raw device for swap to provide a usable crash dump, but am not at the point of
recommending that you do so.

I did look at it, and it seems interesting, but unfortunately outside my area
of expertise.  Hopefully Andriy will take a look.
