It's not so much that the drive is SLOW ... it's that there is so much data on the drive that you're constantly queueing stuff up for later retreival. I have a feeling that's one reason WC's news server was never quite up-to-date ... if it was down for a while, it had a hard time catching up. Unless you're doing sequential or single-user accessing of the drive, multiple, smaller drives are a lot better. (That, and it's a lot less of a loss to lose 4Gb than 9Gb)... Gary
