	(e)ide nags the hell out of the cpu.   look mommy i got another 
block!  oh, oh, oh, and now i have another.

	scsi, especially with decent sized on-drive cache and tagged 
queuing, justs reads the data and then says "ahem, i have your 400 kB here"
