Don't mean to be terse here, but I'm talking about the same test done an two different RAID5 configurations, with different disks, and not just me - other users in this very thread see the same issue.. I'm not an idiot, with a stupid problem here - this is a real problem, not a user created one. It isn't catastrophic, but come on - 2x performance difference between reads and writes? I wouldn't think twice if writes were 50% speed as reads, but it's the other way around. I'm tired of beating this with a stick - why doesn't anyone just trust the fact that something isn't right, and try to help find the problem and fix it? I'm not familiar with debugging the kernel, or source code enough to find it by myself.
