FreeBSD is VERY intuative, the ports collection, cvsup'ing your machine are things that make freebsd very attractive to newbies as well as experianced users. i find it quite a nightmare to change settings on any other flavor of Unix without the vendor's GUI admintool because the obfuscated messy filesystem structure of the config files. thanks to Jordan for his sysinstall utility, smart snappy and useful. and it can't get much better than /etc/rc.conf which is really cool and makes changing boot options an easy thing to do.
