Ok, I just tried to install 4.5-RELEASE from tape (5.0-DP1 does not run on my test machine). I chose a very minimal install, only the bin distribution, but it worked flawlessly. So IMHO there is no need to update the web page, FreeBSD can still be installed from tape.
