chances are that your mgetty does not find working modem, so it exits. look at your log file /var/log/mgetty.cuaa1, it should be growing :-)). until you figure out how to get modem working, you should comment out mgetty entry in /etc/ttys as init is constantly trying to restart mgetty which constantly exits :-(( ZT To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
