Two symbolic links should be set: /usr/include/machine -> /sys/i386/include /sys -> /usr/src/sys Under these three preconditions spl.h should be found by make. The link /sys -> /usr/src/sys is set by the make target `hierarchy'. I did not find out where the link /usr/include/machine -> /sys/i386/include is made, but there seem to be a lot of machines where this link is not set. Wolfgang
