Yeah, that was a last-minute fix, actually. I think that the authors had intended for it to be "ppp", but it ended up "Ppp" at the beginning of a sentence. I'm keeping it "ppp" in the <question> stuff when it refers to the application, but "PPP" (in only two questions) when it refers to the protocol: + <para>Why am I having problems talking PPP to NeXTStep + <para>PPP has hung.
