It was a question to the whole FreeBSD GNOME community. Anyone that uses GNOME on FreeBSD is welcome to respond with their opinion. Your clarification on Xinerama support is good to know. I thought freetype-2.1.0 sans patches fixed things for you. Since it doesn't, keeping 2.1.0 with my patches, then upgrading GTK+-2.0 et al seems like a good idea.
