I got exactly the same error for this version of bash: [root@pinawa /usr/ports/x11/libX11]# bash --version GNU bash, version 3.2.48(1)-release (amd64-portbld-freebsd7.0) Copyright (C) 2007 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
