Oh, and if you are doing a fresh install, you can just download an install
image for stable/15.
I do it by going onto ftp.freebsd.org anonymous ftp
cd'ng into "pub/FreeBSD/snapshots/ISO-IMAGES/15.0
get whichever one works for you.
("amd64" in the name is x86-64bits. disc1 in the name is a bootable
DVD image. It used to have everything in it, but I'm not sure if it
still does. If not, you'll need to have the system connected to the
internet during the install.
(I'll admit the recent change to the pkg based installation has
completely confused me.;-)
