I need to know about if and when wide character support is needed, in formatting all the different FreeBSD docs, such as the Handbook. I don't know much about wide char requirements, but I'm working on a possibility of getting our handbook to use Norm Walsh's xml DocBook, and then formatting to html and or groff markup directly (removing Jade and TeX). I'm getting closer to a demo, but nothing to demonstrate just yet, but I have to learn about what we need in terms of WCS support, and (if anyone knows) what kind of support FreeBSD has for things like wcscat()? Thanks. ----------------------------+----------------------------------------------- Chuck Robey | Interests include any kind of voice or data chuckr@picnic.mat.net | communications topic, C programming, and Unix. 213 Lakeside Drive Apt T-1 | Greenbelt, MD 20770 | I run picnic (FreeBSD-current) (301) 220-2114 | and jaunt (Solaris7). ----------------------------+----------------------------------------------- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-doc" in the body of the message
