Hello,

I would suggestion to add in the documention about /etc/rc.conf

ifconfig_em0="up"
vlans_em0="5"
ifconfig_em0_5="inet 192.168.20.20/24"

It took for me ages to realize, that die parent interface em0 must be  
up after a reboot. If not, no traffic will go over the interfaces even  
when the VLANs are up.
