Hi!
Just in case sombody is interested:
It is possible to run recent Linux binaries on FreeBSD 5.3-*
in Linux emulation.
I have
/emulators/linux_base-8
/x11-toolkits/linux-gtk2
/x11-toolkits/linux-pango
/accessibility/linux-atk
/devel/linux-glib2
installed and I tried this with
OOo_1.1.2_LinuxIntel_install_de.tar.gz
and
OOo_1.9m49_LinuxIntel_install.tar.gz
from OpenOffice.org's ftp mirrors.
I didn't succeed in installing the .rpm packages coming with
OOo_*_native_*.tar.gz, though it would be interesting to know,
how to do this.
Greetings,
Uli.
