That would explain things.  I was using the two port cards and pulling my
hair out over it.

If/when they were assigned the same IRQ as some other board, like an ET
card, neither device worked.  Very unlike the other message where a user
had a de* and ncr* sharing IRQ 9.

Thanks for the input, I'll take a look at the adaptec cards:)
