Adding one object to the LDAP directory is OK, but adding another object will then result in fsync() return EBADF, and adding yet another (a third) object will cause slapd to report an internal error (because the database is corrupted). Restarting slapd causes it to recover the db, so after restarting slapd another two objects can be added.
