Note that I was assuming - and talking - about the ABI in context of MFC, which
is the FreeBSD kernel ABI, not Linux userspace ABI.

I don't know about userspace ABI - the one for actual apps - but any kind of
breakage in that would be immediately visible, and I hadn't seen any reports of
that.
