A quick note about a CDROM: I wish my laptop had one since it would be an ideal system for hooking into an ethernet and installing packages, etc, from. I put off buying a laptop until I could buy a cheap one with an active matrix display - I now see how useful it is for bringing work to different clients, or checking a few things away from the office, etc. I don't see anything about disk space in your post. That is the biggest drawback on the one I got. I want to leave everything related with several projects on the disk so that it can be the only system I bring to a client without constantly moving things around.
