VanLoon michaelv@MindBender.serv.net I don't agree that this is a Dell-specific "feature". I have also had problems with a locking keyboard. The machine is a Kopak (Sager, Prostar etc) 486DX100 laptop. I had problems with locking keyboard if I pressed the extra FN key (used to alter brightness, contrast, volume etc) while running 2.0.x. It got fixed sometime during 2.1.x branch I think. Now with the new 2.2.1 it sometimes locks during installation (have run it multiple times). This happened last time when switching virtual consoles. Another sure keyboard lock is to start XFree. /Kent Kent Palmkvist email: kentp@isy.liu.se Dept.of Electrical Engineering http://www.tde.isy.liu.se/~kentp Linköping University 581 83 LINKÖPING phone: +46 13 281347 Sweden fax: +46 13 139282
