Dell Inspiron 7000 has been no trouble for me (as evidenced by the fact I'm using it to type this email under FreeBSD 5.0-CURRENT), but that model's been obsoleted by newer versions these days. Your main concern will be which video card and networking card you get. My 3Com 3CCFE574BT works under -CURRENT and should also work under 4.0. My I7K has an 8MB ATI AGP Mach64-based Rage LT Pro, which works with XFree86 3.3.6 using the Mach64 driver. I didn't really try, but I don't think this card is supported in accelerated mode under XFree86 4.0. -- Will Andrews <andrews@technologist.com> GCS/E/S @d- s+:+>+:- a--->+++ C++ UB++++ P+ L- E--- W+++ !N !o ?K w--- ?O M+ V-- PS+ PE++ Y+ PGP+>+++ t++ 5 X++ R+ tv+ b++>++++ DI+++ D+ G++>+++ e->++++ h! r-->+++ y?
