https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D234039 Bug ID: 234039 Summary: bhyve: NetBSD/i386 8.0 fails to boot Product: Base System Version: 12.0-RELEASE Hardware: amd64 OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: bin Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: santhosh.raju@gmail.com When attempting to boot in bhyve (with debugging on in bhyve) the following message appears in the bhyve.log and bhyve terminates. I have tested this on FreeBSD 11.2-RELEASE and FreeBSD 12.0-RELEASE and they both give the same result. I have *not* tried this on FreeBSD 13-CURRENT. vm exit[0] reason VMX rip 0x00000000c091f843 inst_length 7 status 0 exit_reason 2 qualification 0x0000000000000000 inst_type 0 inst_error 0 Looking into the VMX reference manual an exit_reason 2 implies a Triple fau= lt occurred in the logical processor. Attempting to boot NetBSD/amd64 8.0 under the exact same conditions work without issues. NetBSD/i386 8.0 is able to boot correctly in real hardware / VirtualBox / Q= EMU / XEN etc. I do not know how to debug / fix this problem.=20 But I would be more than happy to help investigate this further if someone = can help / guide / handhold me into figuring out where exactly this problem lie= s. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
