I've been running some linux apps in X, and I've noticed that they seem to be a bit slow in response... Is this normal? Possibly because they aren't native binaries? I have heard people say that "linux binaries run faster on FreeBSD than on linux", but my results haven't been even close to acceptable... Any thoughts?
