Someone suggested the idea of the Conner having problems with Quantum on the same bus, and I seem to remember at one point me having problems with a system that had Quantum/Maxtor on the same bus. So, I'm going to shove the NCR back in, put the Conner drives onto that bus, and throw the Quantum onto a totally seperate bus and see if *that* makes any difference to the stability of the system. A long shot...but the only one I have right now :( > I'll see if I can dig out a message I got a while ago which tells you > what to look for on your drive to see if it's defective. Is timing out twice in a row such a rare occurance, though, that it is set at 2, or should that number possibly be higher? Thanks... Marc G.
