According to this page: http://sourceforge.net/projects/fileroller/ Fileroller 2.1.2 is for Gnome 2.2 _only_. The latest version for Gnome 2 is fileroller 2.0.4. The ports tree has gnome 2.0.5, and this page: http://www.freebsd.org/ports/archivers.html confirms that the fileroller 2.1.2 port is meant for gnome 2.0.5. With a completely updated ports tree, fileroller 2.1.2 fails to build with the following error: ------------------------- egg-recent-view-bonobo.c:32: libgnomeui/gnome-icon-theme.h: No such file or directory In file included from egg-recent-view-bonobo.c:38: egg-recent-util.h:7: libgnomeui/gnome-icon-theme.h: No such file or directory In file included from egg-recent-view-bonobo.c:38: egg-recent-util.h:15: syntax error before `*' egg-recent-view-bonobo.c:56: syntax error before `GnomeIconTheme' egg-recent-view-bonobo.c: In function `egg_recent_view_bonobo_set_list': egg-recent-view-bonobo.c:205: structure has no member named `theme' egg-recent-view-bonobo.c: In function `egg_recent_view_bonobo_finalize': egg-recent-view-bonobo.c:399: structure has no member named `theme' egg-recent-view-bonobo.c: In function `egg_recent_view_bonobo_init': egg-recent-view-bonobo.c:491: structure has no member named `theme' *** Error code 1 ---------------------------- Would I be wrong in assuming this is a header file from Gnome 2.2? In any case, it seems that with a fully upgraded ports tree (and all ports upgraded), fileroller still fails to build. Since the page I gave above indicates 2.1.2 is not intended for Gnome 2.0, this really isn't surprising. Therefore, I suggest that the port be rolled back to 2.0.4 until such time as the ports tree includes Gnome 2.2. Using i386/FreeBSD 4.7-STABLE, Gnome 2.0.5, fileroller 2.1.2 (broken).
