I do have access to powerpc64 and powerpc examples. everything else that I have access to has working system-clang support and would not need ports/head/base to be used. In case is helps avoid future confusions: this was a amd64 -> powerpc64 cross build attempt. The actual execution environment was amd64 and powerpc64 was the target for the type of files to be produced but no actual powerpc64 processor was involved since things did not get far enough to have something to test on a powerpc64 system. In terms of my original wording: "base/binutils for my attempted powerpc64 cross build target [from amd64 . . ."
