I buy FreeBSD CDs direct from Walnut Creek and use the ports from
there. But netscape always expires on me so I have to download
direct and use the -current port (on 2.2.5).

I suggest you forget about Oz book stores and go direct too. Fax WC
an order with a credit card number and you'll get a 4-CD set in your
mailbox within 2 weeks.
