Hello, I just installed freeBSD 6.1 on a HP Compaq dc5100 MT and I added a Ethernet adapter Cnet ProG-2000s to the system but when I connect the UTP cable to the ethernet card its status says no carrier. I know the ethernet adapter is fine, I even tried with another adapter of the same brand and model, but the result is always the same: no carrier. could some body help me, please? Thanks.
